Author: Charles Edwin Finley
Mattias Moyer served as Private in the Sixth Battalion of the Philadelphia County Militia under Captain Arnold Francis. and by paying the 1783 Supply Tax.

He was born before 1755 in Philadelphia to Christian Moyer and Magdalena Stern and died 1842 in Wayne County, Ohio.

He married Dorthea Stauffer on April 21, 1807 and they had the following child—

John P. Moyer (September 25, 1777-September 20, 1847) married Sarah Royer
