Peter Kane, or Cain, was born about 1727 in Germany.
North Carolina Pay Voucher #320 shows that Patriot Peter Kean of Rowan County sold 188 pounds of fresh beef and 147 pounds of fresh pork to the Army on 25 February 1780. This coincides with the American Army pulling back in the face of the threatening approach of the British Army led by General Cornwallis.
Peter Kane's Last Will and Testament, dated 10 December 1791, names his wife Catherine [surname unknown] and his children:
Peter Jr was born about 1753 and married Sybilla [surname unknown].
Elizabeth was born about 1770 and was the second wife of Daniel Wagner.
Catherina married Peter Worlow.
Susan was born about 1776 and married James Burriss.
Leonard or Lennard married an unknown woman.
