Qualifying Service Description:
  1. Served in NC troops in 1775, four months in Capt John Barber's Co, Colonel William Graham's Regt
  2. Service was as a substitute for his father; in 1777 or 1778
  3. Served three months in Capt John Carrath's s Co. of mounted rangers and one month in Capt John Robinson's Co, in 1780
  4. Served four months in Capt Henry's Co, Colonel William Graham's Regt
  5. Served in the battle of KIing's Mountain and in 1781 three months in Capt Thomas Loften's Co

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
