Michael Gilbert was born 15 Jun 1707 in Baltimore Co, MD. He was the son of Garvis Gilbert d. 1739 and Margaret. He married 1st Sarah Preston on 17 Dec 1728 and 2nd Mary Taylor on Nov 23 1738, dau. of Martin Taylor d. 1721 and Sarah Parker. He had seven children: Micah, Parker, Garvis, Martin T., Charles, Philip, and Samuel. He died 1 Feb 1784 in Harford Co, MD. His patriotic service included PS - Signed Oath in Harford Co, MD. He signed an Oath of Fidelity in Harford Co MD on Feb 7, 1778. Buried at unknown location
