Henry Crowell was born about 1732 in Prince Georges County, Maryland. He married his wife Margaret before 1753 in Frederick County, Maryland. He served as a member of the Frederick County, Maryland, Committee of Observation in 1775 and signed the Frederick County Associator Agreement.

Henry’s will, dated 6 September 1784, names his wife Margaret, six living children, and a son-in-law Daniel Root. His children were:

  • Dewalt was born in 1753 and married Juliana Nutz
  • Michael was born in 1756 and married Barbara Young
  • Barbara was born in about 1760 and married Leonard Young
  • Henry was born in 1760 and married 1) Rachel Smith; 20 Mrs. Elizabeth Young McGlocklen
  • John was born in 1758 and married Susan Dagur
  • Sevile was born in about 1762 and  married John Sadler
  • Elizabeth was born in 1762 and married Daniel Root

Henry Crowell’s will was proved on 2 October 1784 in Frederick County, Maryland.

Henry Crowel served as a member of the Frederick County Maryland Committee of Observation in 1775, a Signer of the Frederick County, Associator Agreement, and was elected Ensign, Frederick County.

He was born abt. 1732 in Prince Georges County, Maryland and died before October 2, 1784.

He married Margaret, and they had the following children—

Dewalt (January 7, 1753-1839) married Julianna Nutz
Elizabeth (1762-May 14,1782) married Daniel R. Root
