Leaving Interstate-64 at Kenova, Wayne County, WV, take US 52 and head south, as if you were going to Prichard. Within 15 miles you will arrive at the hamlet called Cyrus, WV. Slow down, and you will see the old John Malcolm Cyrus (1910-1986) place on your left, and an old Masonic lodge. Upon reaching the lodge, watch closely for, and take, the next right turn, which will take you across the railroad tracks toward the Roswell Franklin Cyrus (1829-1904) farmhouse, which was subsequently owned by Bernard Cyrus (1876-1956), then his eldest daughter, Caroline Cyrus (1909-2004). Drive forward on that gravel road as if you were going to visit the Cyrus farmhouse. On the left, on the south side of the Hatton farm cow pasture, you will see a fenced-in area with a few trees, and (now) badly overgrown weeds. That is the Abraham Cyrus Cemetery, and it used to be well cared for. Contact the farm owner before driving or walking south into the cow pasture to access the cemetery
