Qualifying Service Description:
  1. Corporal in Captain Robert Crossman's company, Colonel Nathaniel Leonard's regiment which marched 20 April 1775, in response to the alarm of 19 April 1775 to Roxbury. Credited with service of 12 days
  2. Sergeant in Captain Oliver Soper's company, Colonel Timothy Walker's regiment. On muster roll dated 1 August 1775. He enlisted 2 May 1775 with service of 3 months and 6 days. On company return dated 6 October 1775. Receipt for wages for February and March 1776, dated New York. Receipt for rations from Dorchester to New York, dated New York, 29 April 1776
  3. Ensign in Captain Soper's company, Colonel Joseph Reed's regiment. On receipts for wages for May-August 1776

Patriot biographies must be the original work of the author, and work submitted must not belong to another person or group, in observance with copyright law. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format. The narrative should unfold in a logical manner (e.g. the narrative does not jump from time period to time period) or have repeated digressions, or tell the history of the patriot's line from the patriot ancestor to the author. The thinking here is that this is a patriot biography, not a lineage report or a kinship determination project or other report published in a genealogy journal.
