On 13 Nov 1736, in Billerica, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, Eunice Hosley, the daughter of James Hosley and Maria married James Laws, son of William Law and Elizabeth Littleberry.
James Laws born about 1711 in Billerica, Middlesex County, Massachusetts died before his Last Will and Testament Proved date of 28 Feb 1776. Shortly after in the Billerica Town Records, window, Eunice Laws' name starts appearing on the yearly tax listings. The following  a couple of entries from an index of images clearly reveal the tax collected was for the war rate and the collected funds are clearly handed over to representatives of the local militia.
