Noah Bliss, Jr. was born 13 November 1759, Rehoboth, MA to Noah Bliss and Alathea Drown.   Noah, Jr. served as a Private, Captain Nathaniel Carpenter’s Company, Colonel John Hathaway’s Regiment, 21 April to 14 May 1777; Private, Captain Israel Hick’s Company, Colonel Josiah Whitney’s Regiment, 30 July to 10 September 1778; Corporal, Captain Joseph Wilmarth’s Company, Colonel John Hathaway’s Regiment, 18 March to 12 April 1779; and Sergeant, Captain John Perry’s Company, Colonel Abiel Mitchell’s Regiment, 27 Jul to 30 October 1780.

   Noah, Jr. married first, Mary/Molly Carpenter on 15 April 1792, Rehoboth, MA and together they had the following children: Noah, III (1788-1875) married : Zilpha (1794-1873) married Benjamin French (1786-1856); Lavinia (1796-1871) married Daniel Smith; Caroline Matilda (1798-1842) married John T. Campbell; Asena (1800- ) married Samuel S. Carpenter.   Noah, Jr.  married as his second wife, Elizabeth Martin (1785-1860), on 12 September 1804 and together they had the following children:  Calista (1808-1882) married James Pratt and Josephus Morgan (1795-1884); Mary Carpenter (1817-1896) married Dexter A. Parker (1819-1871); George Myron (1820-1876) married Matilda Overstreet (1822-1858) and Martha J Jett(1837-1920); James Stewart (1825-1856) married Sarah J Jordan (1829-1875); and Eliza Jane (1827-1866) married Jesse H. Smith (1823-1892)

Noah, Jr. died 24 February 1840, Whiting, VT and is buried in Whiting Village Cemetery, Whiting, VT in an unmarked grave.
