Conrad Mehrkam (1715 – aft 1783)  P-336236

Conrad Mehrkam (also spelled as Merkum and Mercan) was born between 1715-1724 in Germany.  He was married to Margaret Maria Gebhardt.  During the Revolutionary War, Conrad gave Patriotic Service by taking an Oath of Allegiance 18 August 1777 at Northampton County, Pennsylvania.  He also paid the Supply Tax in 1781 and 1783 in Towamensing Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.  This area is in Carbon County, Pennsylvania today.


Conrad and Margaret were the parents of Susanna (married Frederick Boyer P-119036), Elizabeth (married Abraham Sterner), Jacob and Johann Abraham.


Conrad died between the years 1793 – 1798, likely at Little Gap, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.  His final resting place is not known.
