Author: Daniel Gregory Tincknell
Nathaniel Darby, born August 23rd, 1746 in Lyme, New Hampshire, served in the Continental Army as a Drummer under Marsh’s Regiment and a Private under Young’s Company. He was married to Jemima Skinner, born in 1759 in Lyme, New Hampshire. They had eight children: Jedadiah, Amasa, Benjamin, Nathaniel, Lucy, Walter, Elizabeth, and my ancestor John (born May 26, 1789, died June 3, 1874). Nathaniel died in 1812 and is buried at the Old Lyme Cemetery. His ancestry to me goes as follows: I. Nathaniel Darby (as he spelled it) Derby (1749-1812) a. Married to Jemima Skinner i.
