Isaac Reeder was the oldest of fourteen children of John and Hannah (Mershon) Reeder. He was born 27 Jan 1754 and died in Trenton Township (now Ewing), New Jersey on 25 Sep 1784. He married Rachel Scudder, daughter of Daniel and Mary (Snowden) Scudder.

Isaac and Rachel had only one child, Charles, born 12 May 1783.
