Henrich Faust was born in 9 April 1749 in Heidelberg Township, Lancaster County (now Berks County) Pennsylvania and Baptism at St. John’s (Hain’s), Heidelberg Township. His sponsor’s were John Heinrich and his wife An. Christine Hain (Hen). He is the Son of Johann Peter Faust and Magdalena nee Weimer.
He married his wife, Magdalena nee Weimer on 12 June 1769 at Lancaster County by Reverend John Waldschmindt. They had 8 children, their names being Johannes, Daniel, Elisabeth, Magdalena, Heinrich, Susanna, Anthony and Philip.
In 11 December 1771 he purchased 70 acres of land in Heidelberg Township, Berks County. Pa.
In 3 April 1772 he purchased 53.11 acres of land in Heidelberg Township, Berks County, Pa.
In 26 August 1776 he enlisted in Captain Daniel Deturck Company. This company was part of the troop being raised for the Flying Camp being sent to the the Battle of long Island. This enlistment was for 2 months, and his pay as a private was 2 pounds a months.
In 24 June 1778 he took the Oath of Allegiance at Berks County, Pennsylvania.
The Berks County Tax list of 1778, he is listed with 50 acres and 1 cow. His Tax is 2.3 pounds and listed as a Farmer.
Henrich dies sometime before 8 June 1824, because his will is probated on this date. Small farm and woodlands to be sold and divided in equal shares between the children. The only children named are Henry and Elizabeth, Wife if Johannes Stein, Exrs. Johannes Reber, wit: George Lambert and Thomas Grimes.
