Hugh Reynolds was born Abt. 1730 .

He married Mary Neely (d. 6 Dec 1787, Pittsylvania Co., VA). They had 2 children: Joseph Reynolds (b. bef. 15 Aug 1759, Lancaster Co., PA - d. 1830, Pittsylvania Co., VA) m. Margaret Devin (d. Aft. 25 Nov 1800, Pittsylvania Co., VA) on 21 Aug 1780 in Pittsylvania Co., VA; William Reynolds (b. in Lancaster Co., PA) m. Nancy Ford.

He died 1802 in Pittsylvania Co., VA.

His patriotic service included service as a Rendered Material Aid and Signer of the Oath of Alligence in 1777.
