Lydia Holmes was born on 24 JAN 1716. She was the daughter of Samuel Holmes born 1676 and died 1769 in Newport/Newport/RI . She married David Trowbridge on 03 JUL 1735 in Bedford/Westchester/NY. She had 16 children: Lydia, Daniel, Shurael, Ann, Samuel, David, Caleb, Mary Ann, Tabitha, Joseph, Absalom, Tabitha, Job, Joseph, Ann and Lydia. She died on 27 JAN 1792 in Morristown/Morris/NJ. Her patriotic service was paying the New Jersey Supply Tax which supported the war effort.
