Charles Thomas Philpot was born 20 Nov 1753 in Charles Co., MD.
He married Elizabeth Garrett Mockoboy (b. in Frederick Co., MD - d. c. 1793 in Henry Co., VA). They had: Sarah A. Philpot (b. 1 Oct 1784, Frederick Co., MD - d. Abt 1863, Pittsylvania Co., VA) m. John Devin Reynolds (b. 22 Feb 1783, Pittsylvania Co., VA - d. 18 Mar 1831, Pittsylvania Co., VA) on 19 Jul 1806, in Henry Co., VA.
He died 29 Feb 1836 in Henry Co., VA.
His patriotic service included service as a Sergeant, 7th Maryland Regiment in Capts. Eneas Campbell and Montjoy Baily's Companies under Col. John Gunby served from December 1776 to December 1779.
