Johan Nicholas Haupt, Sr. was born on February 13, 1725 in Windersheim, Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany.
He moved his family to Pennsylvania sometime after 1762.
Johan Nicholas Haupt, Sr., a German immigrant, signed the Oath of Allegiance in Bucks County, PA in 1777.
He is buried in Nochamixon, Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Vaughn, Jr., 177418, Riverside Chapter, California SAR: Johan Nicholas Haupt was born 13 Feb 1725 in Windsheim, Germany, and he died before 25 Oct 1792 in Nockamixon, Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. He was the son of Johan Nicholas Haupt, Sr. and Elisabeth Geiss. Haupt, Jr. married his first wife, Maria Magdalena Caesar, 14 Jun 1746 in Merxheim, Palatinate, Germany. Maria died 6 May 1747 shortly after the birth of their son, Johan Adolph Haupt, on 16 Apr 1747. Johan Nicholas Haupt, Jr. married his second wife, Anna Schweiss, on 28 Nov 1747 in Badenheim, Hessen, Germany. Anna was born 18 Oct 1724 in Badenheim, Hessen, Germany, and she died 15 Oct 1777 in Nockamixon, Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. Haupt, Jr. was the father of eleven children. Johan Nicholas Haupt, Jr. arrived in Philadelphia on the ship Edinburgh, and he signed the Declaration of Oath on 30 Sep 1754 in that city. Johan Nicholas Haupt is listed as the Daughters of the American Revolution Ancestor A053143 for his patriotic service in signing the Bucks County Oath Allegiance on 14 Aug 1778.
