Ross Crosley was born abt. 1760 in Pennsylvania, the eldest son of Rueben and Rachel (Harvey) Crosley. While still a young man he was married to Sarah Lambert. We’re not sure of his age at marriage because of uncertain date of birth. (Source: Crosley Genealogy – Martha A. Graham)

Ross Crossley is listed as a private in Washington County, PA militia, and having paid support tax from Green Township, Washington County, PA. He was listed alternately as “Crossley, Crosley and Crosby” (Source: Pennsylvania Archives 5th Series, Volume 4)

Multiple records from the Goshen Baptist Church in Washington County, PA mention Ross Crosley from the Church’s forming in 1773 throughout 1790.

Later in 1790 Court records in Hamilton County, Ohio finds Ross Crosley a resident there.

In 1791 he was appointed Deacon of the Columbia Baptist Church in Hamilton County. Various church and court records have him living in Hamilton County into the early 1800’s.

The 1810 Census and local tax records list him in Hamilton County near Cincinnati.
Ross Crosley died in Hamilton County, OH in 1815. His will probated in Hamilton County provides for his wife and children. No Grave has been found.
