Joseph Corpe was born on 15 Sep 1758 in Providence, Rhode Island.

He was a Private in a Company under the command of Colonel Jacobus Van Schoonhoven of the 12th Regiment of the Albany County Militia.

Joseph was married on 25 February 1778 at Ballston, New York, to Sarah Toms. They likely have additional children, but no contemporary records prove the relationship.

  • Harvey Washington was born on 24 November 1801 and married Fannie Durkell.
  • Benjamin Franklin was born on 22 July 1803 and married Mary Hurlburt.
  • Seymour was born on 7 September 1805 and married Eliza Dexter.

The Patriot died on 24 November 1823 in Stillwater, Albany County, New York; his burial place is unknown.
