Heinrich was born in Germany between 1740 and 1745 and arrived on the ship Chance, Charles Smith, Master, from Rotterdam, last from Crowes, England. He took the oath of allegiance September 9, 1765. He married Anna Rosina Vetterman, daughter of Balthaser Vetterman (alias Baltzer Fetterman) and Catharine Margaretha Huff, October 16, 1770 in Alburtis, Lehigh County, PA. They first settled in Lehigh Township, Northampton County, PA. They moved to Greenwich Township, Berks County PA in 1795. They moved to their next and final settlement in Turbot Township, now Delaware Township, Northumberland County, PA in 1805. Their farm was known as The Sinking Spring. They had ten children: Magdalena, Jacob, Anna Elizabeth, Philip, John, Catharine, Margaret, Baltzer, Anna Maria and Susanna. Heinrich and Anna Rosina both died in 1820. They are buried in the churchyard of St. John’s Delaware Run Union Church, Delaware Township, Northumberland County, PA.
Heinrich was a Private in the 3rd Battalion, Northampton County, PA Militia under Captain John Deter and Colonel Nicolas Kern.

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format. The biography should discuss the qualifying service (military, patriotic, civil) of the patriot ancestor, where the service was rendered, whether this was a specific state or Continental service, as well as significant events (as determined by the author) of the patriot's life. This is the entire purpose of a patriot's biography.
