Author: Robert Roy Thomas

Phineas Moore was born on 6 February 1748/1749 in Bolton, Worcester County, Massachusetts.1

He married Sarah Nurse on 27 November 1770 in Bolton, Massachusetts.2 They had the following known children:

  • Levi was born about 1777 [based on his death record].
  • Abigail was born on 12 June 1789 and married Samuel Nourse or Nurse.

During the American Revolution, as a resident of Bolton, Phineas enlisted in 1775 as a Sergeant in the company of Captain Robert Longley, commanded by Colonel Asa Whitcomb. The company marched to the alarm of 19 April 1775. He had service of six days.4

The Patriot died on 15 December 1839 in Bolton, Worcester County, Massachusetts.3
