Jotham Goodnow was born on 1 Nov 1756 in Sudbury, MA; his parents were Daniel Goodnow and Ruth Wood. Jotham died on 28 Dec 1840 in Sudbury and had a will probated in 1841 in Sudbury. He was baptized on 7 Nov 1756 in Sudbury and married Susanna Smith on 26 Nov 1778 in Sudbury. Jotham then married Abigail Plympton on 4 Oct 1791 in Sudbury. Abigail was born in 1753 and received First Holy Communion on 6 Oct 1811 in Sudbury. During the Rev War, Jotham was a member of Captain Jonathan Rice's Company from the Town of Sudbury, MA. See History of Sudbury, Massachusetts 1638-1889; Published by The Town of Sudbury, 1889, pg. 403 & 404. Jotham listed on Oct 26, 1778 muster roll by Capt. Rice with a sum of 50 pounds.
Children: Hannah Goodnow was born 21 April 1784 in Middlesex County, Mass. and died 14 May 1877 in Sudbury. Ephraim Smith Goodnow was born 16 Apr 1799, MA; mar., Eliz. Gilbert Smith, Apr 1824 Concord, MA.
