Author: Dr. Michael Bernard Gunn

Born in 1747 in Pennsylvania. He served as a Captain of the North Carolina troops in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Upon his discharge he was granted 230 acres of land in the new western wilderness. In 1768 he married Martha Quinn in North Carolina; children: Cyrus. His family moved first to Green Brier, Kentucky near Bardstown, but soon moved again to what is now Warren County, Ohio.  Captain John Crawford Bone died in 1805 and buried at the Presbyterian Churchyard in Lebanon.   528 W. Main Street, Lebanon, OH 45036; now an automobile dealership. His name is on a Memorial Monument in the Lebanon Pioneer Cemetery, 551  W Mulberry St., Lebanon, OH  45036.
