Johannes (John) Yoder was born in Oley, Berks County, PA. He married Catherina Oyster in 1747. She was born in 1730 and died 14 January 1812 in Berks County.

Johannes took the Oath of Allegiance in Berks County, PA. He died 07 April 1812 in Pleasantville, Berks County, PA. They are both buried at Pleasantville Union Cemetery in Berks County.

Their daughter Elizabeth married Mathias Rhoads.
