Mary Bolling was born about 1716 in Mecklenburg, Virginia to Robert and Mary Anne Bolling Jr. She married Richard Yancey in 27 Feb 1730 in Mecklenburg Co., VA and had 10 children. He died in 1780 and owned over 2000 Ac. in VA and NC with an estate valued at $80,400.
On the Taxpayers List in1782 in Mecklenburg Co.,VA she was shown with 2 whites & 9 slaves. She supported the Revolution on 14 May 1782 by furnishing 650 cwt beef for Continental Army use. Her son, Robert Yancey ( P-325756), was also a Patriot during the Revolution. Her Will was executed on 28 Oct 1790 in Mecklenburg Co., VA and her Executor was her son, Robert. She died on 13 Apr 1795 in Clarksville.Mecklenburg, Virginia.
