James Wright was born about or after 1742 in Augusta County, Virginia. He died before 18 June 1782 in Mercer, Lincoln County, Kentucky.
James Wright married Mary Miller about 1765 in Augusta County, Virginia. Mary Miller was born 17 April 1750 in Augusta County, Virginia. She died 17 April 1824 in Dannville, Mercer County, Kentucky.
James Wright and Mary Miller had nine children. The oldest child was Hannah Wright who was born 27 October 1767 in Augusta County, Virginia. Hannah Wright was the 4th Great Grandmother of this document’s submitter. Names and birthdates of the other Wright children are:
Eleanor Wright – born 17 October 1768.
John Wright – born 21 October 1770.
Martha Wright – born 29 October 1771.
Mathena Wright – born about 1773 in Yohogania, Virginia.
Jemina Wright – born about September 1774 in Dannville, Kentucky.
Mary Wright – born 14 October 1777 in Dannville, Kentucky.
Miller Wright – born 04 November 1779 in Dannville, Kentucky.
Betsey Wright – born 24 September 1781 in Dannville, Kentucky.
