The following biography of Frederick Weiss was published anonymously at findagrave.com. I am not the author.
Frederick Weiss was confirmed at the Falkner Swamp Reformed Church in 1756 at the age of 18 years. He married Maria Christina Beltz/Peltz 7 May 1757 at St. Michael and Zion Church at Philadelphia.
Frederick served in the Revolutionary War as Lieutenant Colonel in the 4th Battalion of the Philadelphia County Militia under Colonel Frederick Antes. He also served under George Washington at Valley Forge in 1778 and documentation shows he was given five pounds to purchase horses to be used at Valley Forge.
