Born on November 26, 1726, Perth Amboy, New Jersey to parents John (1673-1734) and Ann Creighton Winans. He served as an Adjutant of 6th Bn Northampton Co. New Jersey Militia, under Colonel Jacob Stroud. He married 1) Rebecca Phebe Clark, 2)Rebecca Connett,: children: Phebe, Matthew, Isaac and James. He Died in 1810, Milton, OH and Buried at Priceton Cemetery, Mahoning Co., OH 44444. Cemetery notes and/or description: Established in 1817 on northeast corner of Damascus Newton Falls Road and Pritchard Ohltown Road adjacent to the Pricetown United Methodist Church. Sign is clearly visible.
