James Wilson    b. c 1732    d. 3/1/1825    (EFFINGHAM COUNTY, GEORGIA)

He served as Captain in the 10th North Carolina Regiment as well as in the 4th South Carolina Artillery Regiment. He was taken prisoner by the British at Charleston, South Carolina May 12, 1780.

Buried: In a field on Glen Morgan Farm, three miles north of Springfield on Route 21, left on Springfield-Egypt Road, 4 miles, Glen Morgan Farm on right.
