Author: Edwin Dudley Burwell III

Gerhardt Will/Wills was born at Germany around 1720.  He immigrated to Philadelphia on the ship Friendship, 2 November 1744.  He married Maria Barbara Drach at Berks County, Pennsylvania, before 1747.  

Gerhardt purchased land 20 July 1767. 

Gerhardt provided supplies and services to help fight the British during the American Revolution.

By his Last Will and Testament, Gerhardt’s land was transferred to his children in July 1778 and the court closed his estate in October 1778.
