Henry Webb was born in the 1750s, although his birthplace is unknown. He was the son of Jacob and Mary "Mollie" (Austin) Webb. It is known, however, by the Isaac Webb Bible that he came from the Blackwater of Franklin County, Virginia, in the 1780s and settled in that part of Montgomery County that became Wythe County in 1793, which then became Grayson County in 1795. He is shown on the Personal Property Tax List of Montgomery County for 1793 (1792 taxes), and on the 1795 Tax List of Wythe County (1794 taxes)." Attribution: S. Jenkins Corbin, Ancestry.com
Henry married Susanna Cocke, and they had the following known children:
James Austin was born about 1783 and married Sarah Goad.
Mary was born about 1785 and married Joseph Horton.
Andrew was born about 1787 and married Catherine Cocke.
Giles was born about 1790 and married Rachel Horton.
John was born on 20 July 1792 and married Hannah Cocke.
Jacob was born on 28 August 1797 and married Hester Dickerson.
Henry was born in 1802 and married 1) Nancy Bobbitt and 2) Amelia Ashworth.
William was born about 1804 and married Catherine Dickerson.
Joseph was born about 1810 and married Margaret Dickerson.
"Henry Webb was called "Hal" by all who knew him, and tradition is that he was a small "red-headed" man who had been loyal to England during the early part of the Revolutionary War but later joined with the colonies in that struggle for freedom." Attribution: S. Jenkins Corbin, Ancestry.com
No will was left by Henry Webb; however, before he died in 1845, he deeded land to his children. His burial is in the Webb-Thompson Cemetery on Snake Creek Road in Carroll County, Virginia [36.862N -80.635W].

Send a biographical sketch of your patriot!
Patriot biographies must be the original work of the author, and work submitted must not belong to another person or group, in observance with copyright law. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format. The narrative should unfold in a logical manner (e.g. the narrative does not jump from time period to time period) or have repeated digressions, or tell the history of the patriot's line from the patriot ancestor to the author. The thinking here is that this is a patriot biography, not a lineage report or a kinship determination project or other report published in a genealogy journal. The biography should discuss the qualifying service (military, patriotic, civil) of the patriot ancestor, where the service was rendered, whether this was a specific state or Continental service, as well as significant events (as determined by the author) of the patriot's life. This is the entire purpose of a patriot's biography.
Additional guidelines around the Biography writeup can be found here:
Send your submission1, in a Microsoft Word compatible format, to patriotbios@sar.org for inclusion in this space 1Upon submission of a patriot biography, the patriot biography becomes the property of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, and may be edited to conform to the patriot biography submission standards.
