Author: Dr. Michael Bernard Gunn
Born in 1757in Charles County, Maryland son of Robert Ward. He Enlisted 1777 as a Private under Captain Wiliam Duval and Colonel Baker Johnson, Maryland Line, and in the Militia and in the Battle of Brunswick. Pensioned #R 11115 Roll of Ohio, 1831. He Married 1) Ruth Oliver, 2) Lucy Wilson (1760-1847) 1776; children: John, Isaac, James, William, Anna, Jeremiah and Amos. He Died in 1840, Perry County, OH. He lived in Frederick Co., until 1778, when he moved to Washington Co., near Fort Cumberland.
