Author: Michael John Blum

Born on February 8, 1761 in Chatam, Morris County, New Jersey. He was residing there when he enlisted and served several tours of duty in the classified militia, being stationed on the lines at Elizabethtown, Mt. Holly Hackensack, and Newark. He was also a volunteer in the expedition against the Indians and in the battle when Springfield was burnt June 23, 1780, generally under the command of Colonel Seely.
He Died in 1837 was Buried at Laurel Cemetery, 5915 Roe Street in Madisonville, Cincinnati, OH.

In 1814 he moved to Columbia Township, (what is now Madisonville), Hamilton County, Ohio, where he was residing on August 18, 1832 when he applied for a pension.
