Born in Hunterdon Co., New Jersey about 1749. He served as a Private under Major Logan, Colonel Rawlings, General Clinton and Captains Roberson, John Graines, in the NY Militia. Pension# S9497. He married Catherine Hoffman; children: Catherine, Andrew, Elias & Cornelius. He Died on January 27, 1843 in Delaware County and Buried at Stark Cemetery, OH Rte 656, Stark Corners, Porter Twp., Delaware Co., OH 43074. Cemetery notes and/or description: The cemetery is located on the north side of Ohio State Route 656 about 800 feet east of its intersection with Ohio State Route 61.The cemetery is located in Porter Township, Delaware County, Ohio.
