Born November 36, 1737, in Salisbury, Massachusetts, Dudley True was a son of Samuel and Abigail (Currier) True. Dudley's second great-grandfather, Henry True, immigrated to this country from England in the 1630s.
Dudley married Sarah Evans (Evins), daughter of Ezekiel Evins and Judith French, on January 5, 1764, in Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. From this union there were eleven children including: Samuel, Samuel, Eleanor, David, Nanne, Janne, Mary, Judith, Abigail, Ezekiel, Benjamin, Dudley, and his family lived in Rockyhill, MA.
Dudley True was a Private in Henry Morrill's Company, Col. Caleb Cushing's Regiment. He marched on April 20, 1775, in response to the alarm of April 19, 1775.
Dudley True died on February 16, 1804, in Salisbury. Sarah Evins was born November 28, 1742, in Salisbury, and died July 1, 1824, in Salisbury. Both Dudley and Sarah Evans (Evins) True are buried in the Salisbury Plains Cemetery.
