Author: Michael B. Gunn
Born 1756 He served as a Revolutionary War Private with the Pennsylvania 5th Battalion Samuel Benezet’s Company of Colonel Robert Magaw’s Battalion, taken prisoner on Long Island on November 16, 1776. He married__; children: Elizabeth, Robert, Isabel and John Alexander. A pensioner living in Notingham Twp in 1840, aged 84 ; came from Washington Co, Pa, about 1818. A William Todd was a member of Bedford Co, Pennsylvania, Militia; also a member of Capt. Samuel Benezet's Company, Col Robt. Magaw's 5th PA Battalion; taken prisoner November 16; paroled December 26, 1776. He died on January 4, 1852 and buried at Nottingham Cemetery, Moorefield Township, Row 11 –Grave11, Harrison Co., OH.
