1777-1781, he served as a Private in several tours, including in the company of Captain Hendrick Smock, commanded by Colonel Ashar Holmes - total service about 28 months.

Job Throckmorton was baptized at Freehold, New Jersey on 23 August 1761, the son of Job and Mary (Morford) Throckmorton.
He married, first, Mary Robinson, and second, Jane Aumack, the widow Stymas or Stymix, of Middletown, 27 February. As a youngster, he served, as a private, in the Continental Army, in the Revolutionary War. He and his first wife are buried at Adelphia (known as Turkey and Blue Ball), Monmouth County, New Jersey.
Job's Last Will and Testament was written at Freehold and proved in court on 6 May 1839. The Will lists his wife Jane; and children Joseph; James R.; Archibald; Mrs. Eunice Backalow; Morford; Barnes; and Mrs. Mary Reede. The will of Jane Throckmorton was proven on 20 April 1842 and states that she was of Shrewsbury and made bequests to her sister Lenah Robinson, and to her brother John Aumack.
The children of Job Throckmorton were:
Joseph; moved to Pennsylvania; had a large family.
James
Archibald; moved to Pennsylvania and then to Ohio; had a large family.
Eunice
Morford; moved to Franklin Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
Barnes married on 9 November 1819 to Mary Jackson
Mary married on 3 April 1823 to Rev. Eliphalet Reede.
Job married on 23 February 1815 to Rebecca Pile.

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
