He had ten siblings, namely: Survia, Amos, Daniel, Temperance, Hannah, Elizabeth, Patience, Aaron, Mary, and Israel. He died on 27 Jun 1790 in Chesterfield, Cheshire, New Hampshire, USA. When he was 19, he married Hepzibah FARR, daughter of Samuel Benjamin FARR and Hannah WHITNEY, in 1741 in Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA.

Nathan THOMAS lived in Hardwick, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA between 1732–1747.

He was counted in the census in 1776 in Hinsdale, Cheshire, New Hampshire, USA.

He served in the military in 1776 (Cpt Houghton's Company, Col Baldwin's Regiment).

Nathan was one of the first white settlers of Chesterfield, New Hampshire when it was still Massachusetts Territory. He traveled by canoe up the Connecticut River. On Christmas day of 1764 Nathan began to build his homestead on the fertile east bank of the River at Chesterfield. In 1776 he signed the town's Declaration of Independence and joined the Continental Army in the state of New York. After that tour he was one of the principal suppliers of lead for bullet making during and after the war.
