  1. 1778, served as a Private in the company of Captain Samuel Robinson, commanded by Colonel Wade
  2. 1779, served in the company of Captain Enoch Robinson (later Captain Samuel Fisher)
  3. 1780, served in the company of Captain Alexander Foster, commanded by Colonel Thomas Carpenter (later Colonel Isaac Dean)
