  • Per New River Notes on the Cemetery: Take VA Rte. 767 at Mouth of Wilson, VA, until it intersects with VA SSR 716 (Round House Rd.) which becomes SR 1313 in NC. This road is closed at the boundary of the New River State Park. Follow the road approximately 2/10 mile to find the Old Sturgill Cemetery,

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
