John Stirewalt was born 09 July 1732 in Floresbach, Wurtemburg, Germany. He immigrated to America and settles in Pennsylvania.
John married Mary Krugel on 21 Feb 1758 in Pennsylvania. They relocated to Rowan County, North Carolina prior to 1760.
John and Mary had six sons: Michael, Adam, Frederick, John, Jacob and Tobias. Their one daughter, Catharina married Henry Ples.
John served as a private in Captain Moore's company, Col Armstrong's regiment, NC Militia for 12 months. He fought in the Battle of Eutaw Springs.
John resided in Rowan County, North Carolina until his death about 11 Sep 1796. He is believed to be buried at Organ (Zion) Lutheran Church, Rowan County, NC.

The thinking here is that this is a patriot biography, not a lineage report or a kinship determination project or other report published in a genealogy journal. The biography should discuss the qualifying service (military, patriotic, civil) of the patriot ancestor, where the service was rendered, whether this was a specific state or Continental service, as well as significant events (as determined by the author) of the patriot's life. This is the entire purpose of a patriot's biography.
