Qualifying Service Description:
  1. Enlisted for service in the Revolution, serving in Capt Abraham Salisbury's Company on an Alarm at Pittsford, Oct 19, 1777 and remaining till Oct 23, 1777, going home on the 25th
  2. His name appears on the Scout list of said company, it appearing that many Pittsford residents enlisted in the Militia subject call
  3. While in State Service was taken prisoner at Lake Champlain, May 12, 1779 and carried to Canada with Ephraim Stevens, losing guns and accoutrements. Enchanged June 9 last (1783)
