Johan George Spracker was born in Northhampton County, Pennsylvania. He emigrated in about 1763 from Berks County, Pennsylvania to Rowan County, North Carolina.
During the American Revolutionary period, George served as a Tax Assessor in the Tax District of Captain Lopp in North Carolina.
He apparently had married twice, first to Anna Marie Zink, the mother of three daughters, and 2nd to the widow Anna Catherine (Reigher/Richart) Sapponfield, and with her a son Jorge was born. He is shown as George, Jr. in the 1800 Rowan County Census but must have died shortly after that because he's not named in his father's 1810 Last Will and Testament. There are no surviving cemetery records that include the deaths of his two wives or son George, Jr.; most likely, they are interred in unmarked graves.
George died in Rowan County, North Carolina, on 11 August 1818. His August 1818 estate file does not identify his wife/widow's name; however, she is named in his 19 October 1810 Last Will and Testament. He provided for his wife Catherine and two daughters, Elizabeth and Barbara, from his first wife. His friends Patriot Valentine Day and his wife Eva, from the Pilgrim Church, signed as witnesses to his Will. His daughter Elizabeth married Phillip Sink, and Patriot George named her children (his grandchildren) in his Will: Jacob, Phillip, Eve, Margaret, Barbara, and Christina Sink.

Send a biographical sketch of your patriot!
Patriot biographies must be the original work of the author, and work submitted must not belong to another person or group, in observance with copyright law. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format. The narrative should unfold in a logical manner (e.g. the narrative does not jump from time period to time period) or have repeated digressions, or tell the history of the patriot's line from the patriot ancestor to the author. The thinking here is that this is a patriot biography, not a lineage report or a kinship determination project or other report published in a genealogy journal. The biography should discuss the qualifying service (military, patriotic, civil) of the patriot ancestor, where the service was rendered, whether this was a specific state or Continental service, as well as significant events (as determined by the author) of the patriot's life. This is the entire purpose of a patriot's biography.
