Author: Dr. Michael Bernard Gunn

Born in 1763. He served as a Pvt, 4th Bn, Cumberland Co Mil, Pennsylvania, 5th Company, 6th Class, Capt Wm Huston, May 1, 1781. He Married Kaziah Stewart, (1779-1847); Children: James. Robert, John, Stewart, Joseph, Samuel, and four dau. (names not given). He Died in Poland, 1833 and Buried at Presbyterian Cemetery, Row 1, 2 Poland Manor, Poland, Mahoning Co., OH 44514. Cemetery notes and/or description: From the marker at the cemetery's entrance. Old Cemetery--The land for this cemetery was given in the year 1804 by Turhand Kirtland who came from Wallingford, Connecticut, as an agent for the Connecticut Land Company. He surveyed much of this Western Reserve territory. In his grant he also included lands for the village Green. GM by Mahoning Chap, D. A. R. bronze marker May 30, 1916. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
