Born on January 24, 1736. He Served as Sgt from Stonington, Connecticut. He Married Hannah Witter, Nov 23, 1769 (d May 29, 1823, aged 73 yrs); children: . He Died on April 29, 1840, Mecca, OH and Buried at West Mecca, Smith Cemetery Trumbull Co., OH. MI: "Jonathan Smith, died April 29, 1840, aged 94 yrs," GM by family on family lot in Cem, but Jonathan Smith was bur with two others of Smith family on Smith farm, 2 miles north of Mecca on east side of road under large tree upon a bluff.
