Qualifying Service Description:

Sims was born in Virginia and served in the Revolutionary War as a militiaman mustered into service logically, under Maj Wm. Edmiston, 2nd in command under Colonel Wm. Campbell who was ordered by Virginia's Gov., Jefferson to pursue Cherokee Indians within the Overmountain region near Wolf Creek Meadow

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
