Author: President Gen Stephen Arthur Leishman

Adam Schwarm was born in 1741 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

In 1779, he was married to Anna Christiana Syrer in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania and they had three known children:

  • Anna Barbara was born on 24 June 1780
  • John was born on 31 May 1783
  • Adam, Jr. was born on 19 December 1788.

1782, he served as a Private in the 8th Class in the company of Captain Wendel Weaver of the 2nd Battalion of Lancaster County Militia, commanded by Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas Edwards.

The Patriot died on 17 December 1820 in Jackson, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, and was buried in Kimmerling Cemetery, North Lebanon Township, Lebanon County.
