Author: Dr. Michael Bernard Gunn

SCHENCK, REV. WILLIAM, born in 1740, Marlboro, New Jersey. A Chaplain with the NJ Army in the Revolution. Married Ann Cumming (_-1838); children: William b. 1773. He died on September 1, 1823 in Franklin Township, Warren County, Ohio. He was buried in Woodhill Cemetery, Section 11, Lot 53, Grave 4, 6520 Hamilton-Middletown Road, Franklin, OH with a Government marker. Cemetery Notes: Located North side of State road 73, 1 mile South of Franklin, Warren County, OH, 45005. The cemetery is an active cemetery over 100 acres in size. The cemetery was established as a private corporation about 1856. In 1882, the cemetery was taken over by the Franklin Township Trustees, who now own and operate the cemetery.
