Author: James Harvey Sanborn
Isaac Sanderson - was born in Whately, MA 9 Oct 1757.

He married the Mercy, daughter of Lt. Samuel Allen, above.

He was a cooper by trade. Sanderson enlisted as a Pvt. in Capt. Stiles Company, Col. Fellows’ Regt. in Dec. 1775. He saw service at Dorchester. Later he enlisted in Capt. Symon’s company, Col. Porter’s Regt of Mass. Line Feb. 1776.

His service included the march to Quebec, then Ticonderoga, then Newark (NJ).

Sanderson died 10 Feb 1849.
