Author: Willard Nathan Brensinger, Jr.
Nicholas was bom May 16, 1759 in Whitehall Township, Northampton County PA (now Lehigh County) and died January 7,1835 in Lehigh County PA. Nicholas married Eva Balliet at Egypt Church April 18, 1781. Nicholas and Eva had six children. His father, Johann Christian Saeger (1731-1800), was also a patriot in the 3rd company Northampton County Militia.

Nicholas was a Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion Northampton County Militia commanded by Lieutenant Col. Stephen Balliet. He also served as a court martial man in the 8th company 2nd Battilion Northampton County PA.

Nicholas was a large land owner,also a Justice of the Peace In North Whtehall Township and the city of Allentown PA.
Nicholas is buried next to his 2nd wife, Maria Susanna nee Stofflet Saeger, in Fairview
Cemetery, Allentown PA.
